trilogy of garbage: special edition

this is a special edition of what i have dubbed retroactively my "trilogy of garbage". the period in which these were made was a period of working a larger project (which will hopefully be finished and released later this year), and where i wanted to take some time to focus on smaller works so my brain didn't explode. in the process, i got a better grasp of how to use my software and what stories i wanted to tell. although the "trilogy of garbage" isn't entirely successful in my opinion, it at least shows steps towards something that is hopefully more interesting.

the download includes the "trilogy of garbage" visual novels, which include:

Relatable Dating Sim: a work which relies too heavily on ironically violent moodshifts and deliberate opacity for me to enjoy anymore. it also has the thematic impact of a sledgehammer to the face, which is unpleasant. it is, however, my most downloaded visual novel currently. probably because it has dating sim in the title.

life; or, a potential escape: a work which, like its pretentious mouthful of a title, is probably less deep than it thinks it is. however, unlike relatable dating sim, at least i was able to make something purposeful and with a sustained mood. somehow my second-most downloaded visual novel, despite its unrepentant navelgazing.

The Lightbulb Man: in which i finally get my head out of my ass and make something mostly readable. easily the one work of this trilogy of which i don't feel like mocking. still very depressing though; at least it's in a not dull sort of way. currently sitting at a baker's dozen in downloads, which is also depressing.

this download also contains an ost for the trilogy on non-looping wav files. tracks 1-8 are from the lightbulb man, 9-11 are from relatable dating sim, 12-15 are from the life one, and the final track is an exclusive bonus track, originally planned for the lightbulb man before i decided to not use it.

Along with this, there is a set of a few very short stories which were written during this period. finally, there is an extra visual novel: a commercial for Dunham Furniture, the most popular furniture outlet in the Other Region. it is a very brief sneak peek of my upcoming debut full-length visual novel Ink Spots there is no reason for it to be there. don't worry about it.
